The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nentawe Yilwatda, has called on Nigerians to support the re-election of President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general elections, saying that other presidential candidates cannot match Tinubu’s achievements in the last three years.

Speaking at the inauguration of the APC Presidential Campaign Council in Abuja on Wednesday, Yilwatda stated:

“We will ask Nigerians to support the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027 because we believe he is the most credible among all the candidates presented.

“All others have been tested, and their profiles cannot match what Mr. President has done in three years, because we believe that the reform agenda and the development priorities deserve continuation beyond 2027.”

Noting that tremendous progress has been made since the President assumed office, Yilwatda highlighted key achievements spanning infrastructure, including roads, rail, port and gas projects, agricultural infrastructure, and digital connectivity.

Touting the political might of the ruling party, the national chairman revealed that the APC boasts over 261,000 party executives alongside 31 governors, while making a veiled reference to Governors Ademola Adeleke of Osun State and Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State as supporting figures.

“No political party in Nigeria has our structure. We have over 261,000 party exco from the national to the ward; that is the strength of our party,” he emphasized.
“We have 31 governors plus two support wingers — one from the South West and one from the South-East; they are overlapping from APGA and also from the Acoord party.”

Expressing confidence that collective efforts and party solidarity will shape the success of the 2027 campaign, Yilwatda commended the party's women for their unwavering backing. He assured members that every single voice matters within the APC fold, while charging them to return to the grassroots and organize their respective polling units.

The high-profile inauguration event in Abuja was graced by President Bola Tinubu and his wife, Oluremi; Vice President Kashim Shettima and his wife, Nana; APC governors; Governors Adeleke and Soludo; and the leadership of the National Assembly, led by Senate President Godswill Akpabio and House Speaker Tajudeen Abass. Also in attendance were federal and state lawmakers, alongside key political appointees.
